After we reach a certain age, fitness can become a challenge. We lose flexibility, joints get stiffer, we loose balance and range of motion. Experts recommend that older adults need at least 150 minutes of moderate intensity aerobic activity a week and strength training activities on 2 or more days a week. Exercise enhances our overall health. It has been shown to increase energy and confidence, uplift mood and outlook, help us to be mentally centered and sleep better.

Through our certification with The Functional Aging Institute we have developed individualized exercise programs and know how to train safely while providing stimulus for life-changing results. A focus of the program is how to safely and effectively implement these strategies in a private or group setting with clients that are functionally diverse.

Our active aging classes include stretching and flexibility exercises, balance techniques, low-impact aerobics, cardio conditioning, bone density building and strength training while providing social stimulation. We teach the mind body connection, proper form and technique to aid in injury prevention. We take into account range of motion limitations, joint stability and/or cardio/respiratory conditions.

Our goal is to create a fun environment with exercise routines that insure strength and confidence in your body. Working with a certified fitness trainer makes certain your exercises are appropriate and safe for your body and fitness level while ensuring you get the most out of every move without physical injury.
